Re: Best Midi Keyboard for around £100?

I dunno, I just saw it when I looked at the older one. I wouldn't worry about it though, the old one is great too. If you need pads you could always get one of these for about £30:

Re: Best Midi Keyboard for around £100?

Actually there's a newer version of the Oxygen 49, it has pads too now:

I think I prefer the older one though, the sliders are better, and it has more transport controls.

Re: Low Frequencies Hearing Loss?

I doubt that you have low frequency hearing loss. Bass frequencies are rarely played loud enough to damage the ears, and the lower it goes, the more you feel it. You'd need to have some seriously ground shaking bass to damage your ears, and I think that most of the neighbours in the street would hav...

Go to your Youtube history and delete the deadmau5 vid, that usually sorts it out.

I think that Deadmau5's tune Strobe was actually two tunes joined into one, I read it a while back.

Re: Massive in Dubstep

Yeah I agree, it's not essential and never should be. But it should be recognised as a good tool, even one of the best. There are a ton of super capable synths available these days though - IL Harmor, Xfer Serum, U-He Zebra etc.

Re: Massive in Dubstep

You can use a hammer to build a house just as good as you can use a nail gun. But you will get the job done a lot faster, with less work, with better tools. Yes, this sums up my feelings exactly. I get tired of reading all the "oh you can make great basses with 3x3 osc" etc. Sure, but you...

Re: Advice for finishing tracks and not scrapping ideas?

That's one of the things that makes Bitwig Studio so good - tabbed projects. You can have several projects open, and just drag and drop parts between them. Midi clips, audio clips, whole tracks etc.

Go for Bitwig Studio, it's by far the best DAW around now IMO. I got sick of Ableton's PDC problems.

Re: Advice for finishing tracks and not scrapping ideas?

Stop saving your project files. Thats what I did, now I only save tracks what actually get to a decent stage where all it needs is a mix down. My tracks now are always natural ideas what come fast and have little room for doubt. I like this sound, ohh the drums could go like this - maybe the sub li...

Re: Humans are just too stupid now.

What I'd like to know - if Ebola was created by some dark secret science project, who created all of the other viruses before they were around? How can they explain the multiple plagues that killed millions? A lot of people don't seem to know how to use their brains. A conspiracy is not an easy thin...

Once digital information is lost, it's gone for good. All this piece of software can do is enhance it, but it won't bring back the original sound.

Re: so what happened with bitwig then?

Although the market is much more saturated now Is it though? What new DAWs have come out since Live? If anything, with the rising popularity of electronic music, I'd say that it's a great time to enter the market. And it was already saturated when Live came out, but they had a unique product and Ab...

Re: Massive in Dubstep

Have you actually spent any time with Massive? It's a genius piece of software. There's plenty of non-brostep artists that use it too, it's good for more than just screeching bass sounds. The interface and intuitiveness of it are really what makes it great, beyond the sounds it can generate. You're...

Also LOL at being called a hipster for not liking brostep sounds because they're "popular" dubsteps dead, we should all be making tech house anyways. can you make tech house with massive? You can make anything with Massive. People who say it's just for brostep are people that don't ...
