Re: Fatal Transmission - Children of Brostep

Thanks! It was a really fun song to work with I have to say. Simple chord progression, and since I did it as a joke there was no pressure. Hopefully people give it a chance before judging it based on the Christian aspect of it.

Fatal Transmission - Children of Brostep

Some friends and I were joking around about "what if" someone made a dubstep song with that church song, "Awesome God"? This is my answer to that question. I'm not a Christian, but the idea sounded hilarious to me, so I made it. Let me know what you guys think! http://www.soundcl...

Re: SinSeattle - Baracade (I'd love your feedback!)

I think the composition is very good. It could use some polishing here and there to clean up the audio. I heard some clicks and pops where the song needs fades/crossfades. Also you're right that you need to mix and master it a bit. Check out izotope ozone if you haven't already. The ability to eq mi...

J-sKool - Dub Le D

Soundcloud

I call this song "Dub Le D" because original I intended it to be dubstep, however I have no idea what to classify this as now. Anyways, check it out. Download it if you care to hear it again. Any feedback is welcome!

Re: What am I doing wrong?

A major thing that separates the men from the boys is to use really good samples. Build your library up to have some pre-layered kick ass drum sounds. You can download them but what I sometimes do is make them in between making songs. I have a project titled drum factory that I use just to make drum...

Re: Switching from Fruity Loops to Ableton

Haha... that is a side effect I suppose, however YouTube accelerates the learning process. Usually I find it's best to read and article and then search for a video that shows the method in action. To each there own however.

Re: Switching from Fruity Loops to Ableton

I suppose you have plenty of feedback to consider already but I suppose I'll add my two cents anyway. Ableton is a great switch from Fl studio. Live is pretty much the industry standard for electronic music these days so learning it is not a bad idea. One thing I will say though is that after having...

Re: newcomers -> introduce yourself here

Hey guys, I'm J-sKool and I thought I'd check the forum out since I heard this is where some of the big names in the dubstep community got their start. I'm still somewhat new to the dubstep scene as I've mostly been into making rock music. I've been making electronic music for 10 years now, but neve...
