;-) So we all compose chord progressions. But my question is: do you pick a scale first (Cm, Em, Amaj) or you start jamming notes on the keyboard and the scale and the tonic comes by itself (sometimes I do that - jam something, define the tonic and the scale, then arrange some musically correct prog...
Make a short demo of the track and give it to a friend to listen. You can move to another project and after some time return to the first with fresh ideas and ears.
Hi, mate! I really appreciate the fact that you are willing to do your art for free! :) Hope that you can do something for me: Album cover for a track: https://soundcloud.com/untitle-sound/nocturne I think that something like these will be good, but it's best to let you decide what to make after you...
Dont bounce the sound to audio too early. Try using MIDI as long as you can before your Cpu goes 100%. Try adding more sound to the composition, and when you feel that a previous sound is not on place you can always change something. Dont be afraid to delete whole tracks, if something doesn't sound ...
The glue is more for mixing multiple sound on grouped tracks, really does a great job! Very powerful. But I've used in on individual sounds too, and i can tell, that the main idea of compression still applys, really improves the sound.
Yeah, when you are in a middle of a producing something, and don't want to spare your time for tweaking the EQ, a sort of a standard drum, vocal, keys, preset will really fasten up your workflow, and wont let you lose the musical idea.
I've worked with Reason, FL, but the best daw for me is ABLETON. I love the general feeling of working with it. Brillinat workflow, so fast, musical, unique. Reccomend it.
Thanks for the reply, I really think on byuing them. For the need of good headphones for everyday production (not for mastering) I think that they are pretty good. I've heard that they are used alot, so thats pretty much resolvs my dilemma.
