Re: Ever get Obsessive with a track?
Make a short demo of the track and give it to a friend to listen. You can move to another project and after some time return to the first with fresh ideas and ears.

Re: Transition from designing sounds to Arranging them!
Dont bounce the sound to audio too early. Try using MIDI as long as you can before your Cpu goes 100%. Try adding more sound to the composition, and when you feel that a previous sound is not on place you can always change something. Dont be afraid to delete whole tracks, if something doesn't sound ...

Re: Producers following a trend

Re: Compressor vs. Glue compressor?
The glue is more for mixing multiple sound on grouped tracks, really does a great job! Very powerful. But I've used in on individual sounds too, and i can tell, that the main idea of compression still applys, really improves the sound.

Re: 6 New Ableton Tutorials: 15 Free EQ8 Presets:
Yeah, when you are in a middle of a producing something, and don't want to spare your time for tweaking the EQ, a sort of a standard drum, vocal, keys, preset will really fasten up your workflow, and wont let you lose the musical idea.

Re: Headphones: AKG K272? Opinions?
Thanks for the reply, I really think on byuing them. For the need of good headphones for everyday production (not for mastering) I think that they are pretty good. I've heard that they are used alot, so thats pretty much resolvs my dilemma.
