Re: Feeding The Monkey....

For the record, I did suggest that the topic should be changed to a masturbation thread, since that's the only reason people looked into it in the first place.

Re: Feeding The Monkey....

Why does it need to be EDM? So that you can pinch people's ideas? How would you describe inspiration? Inspiration and theft are very different, IMO. You know what, some times I will hear a track I like so much that I want to make a track exactly like it. IMO though that's just human nature. Like I ...

Re: good dnb forums

Tbh, most dnb forums have shit userbases which lead to very little pleasurable or positive discussion, or just lack the user activity to remain relevant. So realistically, the answer is no. I wouldn't bother starting one either. In fact, this place is largely shit other than SNH. Even the events are...

Re: Dubstep musician with 'real' day jobs

Pretty sure South London Ordinance is/was a Lawyer or something? Maybe Graphic Design. Foreign Concept was a Banker. Mistabishi was a Banker. Brian Eno makes all the sounds for Windows apparently. Like every single one. But I guess that's still just making music at the end of the day. Ben UFO has/h...

Re: Days you don't feel music

How old are you rorz? Not being a prick. Just curious since I'm 18 and most of my friends who do any kind of art often say they've not had what I've had? Might be an emotional thing perhaps. I was talking to Microphunk years and years ago and he said that my taste in music would slow down as I got o...

Re: Days you don't feel music

First time I had this, I stopped producing D&B.
Having something similar right now. I found that just setting up a new account and just sharing tunes with close and personal friends is keeping things relevant for me, also trying to make more beatless stuff helps.

Re: Bindi's at festivals

Fashion statement > Hindu beliefs Isn't it the same at the end of the day? Like will all that stuff. Hejabs, burkas, crosses, skull caps, turbans... Isn't it all just fashion relevant to people of certain regions of the earth? I bet early humans thought the same thing about clothes in general tbh.

Raggles,
Y'know, you could've just asked her to go out some time. She could've said no, but at least then you'd have known.

Re: ep covers

Just curious.. Are you saying if a label sings you and offers to do your artwork for you, don't do it? Or don't do your own artwork if you're signed? Different labels have different budgets, but if you are signed to a label, you shouldn't have to pay out of your own pocket for the artwork... ..that...

It looks like you just said that it's an extension of dubplate culture because it attacks dubplate culture?
