Re: Sub bass level

And are you getting a room treatment as well? Considering I can hardly afford monitors, I doubt it. But still, its something to think about in the future. Then get good headphones. Headphones are MUCH better than monitors in an untreated room. Can you produce with headphones like Bayerdynamic witho...

Re: Drums - compressor or transient shaper?

If you compared the transient shaping and the parallel compression this thread would actually make some sense. Normal compression and boosting the attack of the sample in the transient shaper are two opposite things.

Re: Having trouble trying to get your music noticed?

I think that from the start of your music production life you should be really friendly and build a huge group of great producers around you that you can share your music with and share feedbacks etc. It will be much easier to get noticed by bigger groups when you start releasing some legit shit. :3...

Re: Mixing down a clap

Try sidechaining it through whatever it's sharing freq. with (maybe a lead, pad.. w/e). And please don't mix loud, it will just give you clipping problems. Turn the volume of your DAW on the windows mixer thing. Viola.

Re: How do i create a mix with just a DAW?

I don't know shit about mixing either, does the "auto warp long audio files" do the trick in ableton when it comes to warping (timestreching w/e)?

Re: Reduce cpu usage but keeping flexibility

Do you know about the " Freeze " option in ableton? It's like bouncing with an option to "unbounce" any time you want. If that made any sense... And of course remember to switch all massive synths back to ultra when you are rendering your track. BTW. If you have Izotope Ozone 5 ...

Re: Such a thing as too much headroom?

If you think it is too little then adjust your master fader and that's it. The only problem here is floating point precision, for example, a mix mixed down to -6db has two times less floating point precision than a mix mixed down to -0db. I wasn't aware of this. Why does that matter? Say you have a...
