Re: Synkrome - Headfunk [free download]
Nice man, this has a nice feel. My favorite part about the track is the chord stabs that start at 0:28! They have a nice offbeat groove to them.

I had a quick skim through the video and it sounds cool! I'll defiantly add to watch later and check it out when I'm not doing college work!

Re: Setting a specific note to a pad on Maschine?
Oh I see! Well you have two options really - you could export the synth playing the note you want then retrigger that sample instead of the bass, or you could pitch the synthesizer to be the note you want it to play. Thanks! I had been hoping I hadn't had to do that, but I will live with it.[/quote...

Re: installing native instruments shizz
I bought Komplete - you CAN get them in download forms - I contacted Native Instruments as my disks were scratched and they gave me a download for each disk of Komplete. You could do this too, I'm sure they'd offer you the downloads too. If not, I could give you the links as you still obviously need...

Re: Setting a specific note to a pad on Maschine?
I want to play a specific note on a pad without going into keyboard mode. I have several basses on different LFO speeds that are played on different notes. For example, one of my basses is played on E3 in one of my songs, but my Maschine Mikro just plays it on C2 which makes my bass sound awful. If...

Re: Setting a specific note to a pad on Maschine?
Well, I want to see if I can do a little something live that I made myself, but I used more than one note on some of the Massive patches that I used. If I use some of them, they are way too low to sound remotely good. So what I am asking is, how do I set it up so it works correctly? I'm not sure wh...

Re: i always get to a point that i dislike all my tunes :<
Friday just gone I spent an entire morning messing around with polyrhythms and ostinatos Never heard of them terms before, might check them out, is polyrhythms like syncopated patterns or something? Kinda yeah, polyrhythms is when you have two rhythms in contrasting time signatures. A popular polyr...

Re: i always get to a point that i dislike all my tunes :<
I've given up on TRYING to make a track, sitting down with the intention to make a great tune. Instead I sit down and try to learn the most I possibly can about something, a technique perhaps. Friday just gone I spent an entire morning messing around with polyrhythms and ostinatos - I remembered wha...

Re: Xanja - Syrup Samurai (115bpm)
I like this man! It's chill! I love the lil' injections of hat rolls in the tune. If it were my song, I would cut out a minute from about 2:13 onward, just to make it less repetitive and make it more 'palatable' for listeners :) Maybe also harsher compression on the vocal samples? Sometimes they're ...

Re: The Glitch-Hop Thread
I've got a little WIP up on Soundcloud, it's in my signature. Take a listen, lemme know what you think - it's my first attempt at writing something glitch-hoppy. Unique, pretty cool. I really don't like the snare though, a bit too hissy for my taste. I'd change it if I were you. Thanks man. I've ch...

sweet. I wanna talk a bit about sequencing drums rather than effecting them. I'm gonna upload a screen shot of my starting point for my drums. Also want to talk about what programs you use to sequence drums or if you just throw them into your DAW. http://www.flickr.com/photos/93740662@N08/8519287382...

Re: The Glitch-Hop Thread
As far as KOAN Sound's drums go, I've found transient shapers are often the key to getting that little extra punch that their snares do. I use NI's Transient Master or Shaack Audio's transient shaper. I doubt KOAN Sound does this, but has anyone else tried doing all the drums/percussion on a single...
