Searching for good VST instruments
Hey guys, I've downloaded a bunch of free VST plugins from all the sites everyone seems to link around here, but I'm not happy with the amount of instruments I have. It seems to be quite lacking, so I've accepted that I'm probably going to have to shell out some money for some decent quality instrum...

Reaper Tutorials for newbies?
Hi guys. I've been looking around for tutorials to use Reaper. All of the running tutorials I've found are aimed at using Reaper for purposes other than music production and are more geared towards general audio editing and recording. While these have been useful, I can't seem to find anything more ...

Re: Creating Samples
One of Reaper's core strengths is audio editing. I'd kill myself if I had to use audacity to chop audio. Trust me when I say you're going to want to do it all within Reaper. In addition to the pleasure that is Reaper's non-destructive audio editing, it'll also save you from having to go hard drive ...

Creating Samples

If so, is there any particular audio format they need to be saved as for import or not?

Garageband Plugins?
I'm a newbie to production, just starting to work from a Mac and I'm trying to find some free plugins for Garageband, I've already found a few synths and effects packages, but I haven't found much in the way of percussion plugins specifically. I'd also like a few more synth plugins probably, so if y...

Re: Setting Up
Thanks, I didn't know Garageband had the capacity to do this.wehlfest wrote:There is a production sub forum on this website, so this might be moved there.
Since you have a Mac, start w/ Garageband. Add an Akai MPK mini and you can start producing. If you get serious you can upgrade from there.

Setting Up
Hey guys, I'm completely new to production and I had a few questions. I'm working on a Mac (I'm not sure if that limits me from some software and such...) and I was after some good software and hardware to get started with on a low budget. I'm a little bit strapped for cash so I was hoping there wer...
