Personally, I don't place much value on Vengeance or Rankin Audio drum sounds. Both sound overly compressed/squashed, and aren't really the kind of sound I like. This sound is more about the filtering and the after effects, as opposed to the Source sound. The source sound has to have its own metallic feel at the beginning (easily achievable with most of Massive's digital and hybrid wavetables or fm synthesis).
