Re: Korg Volca Bass vs. Volca Keys?
Lemme give you some insight as an owner of both, the bass will probably be better for what you're trying to do. If you want rough sounds, the filter on the keys has noticeable stepping at higher resonances, while the filter on the bass has loads more character, and is much smoother at high resonance...

Re: Classic/Retro Dubstep Snares

Re: How to get rid of "hum" from Ohmicide
well, in that case I'd try to figure out whats going on in the original patch, since it sounds like Ohmicide is just exacerbating a pre-existing issue!, not creating a new one!

Re: How to get rid of "hum" from Ohmicide
be more specific, do you mean like a dull roar or squealing sound that doesn't stop afterwards? if so, you need to dial down the feedback parameter a bit or use the noise gate's parameters (i.e. turn up the threshold on the bands that are running with lots of feedback) to try to rein the tail in, bu...

if you want free, the only one I can think of is MDA's Rezfilter:

if you can handle the terrible gui (or lack thereof)

I can't believe you are stupid enough not to realize that image was meant as a joke, i.e. that software piracy is not piracy because piracy is done by "arrrrrr matey" types, I'm sorry you needed something that simple broken down for you like that in front of everybody watching, but still, ...

Re: Is Trash 2 worth the money?
I bought trash 2, I like it a lot. its def one of my go-to's for distortion now. You have to make an iLok account, but no dongle though. Yeh, I've had it for 2 days and I'm already having issues with the iLok manager giving me problems, had to un/reinstall the manager application to get it working again. skeptical, if it gives me any more issues I'm writing it off before I wast...

I have battery and I don't know why it doesn't just come with a samples folder. ... because it does??? They're all in the Battery 3 factory library that's installed somewhere (dependent on platform) on your computer. On my Mac, it's called "Battery 3 Library" and is located in my Document...

I wonder how many of the people who post about how they've bought jbridge, and/or switched over to 64 bit, have ever actually experienced an "out-of-memory error".

Re: Making sound "sound" sampled?
Given the nature of the op's question, it would really be more like: press your loops to vinyl ;pfragments wrote: The other option is to, you know, actually sample some vinyl ;p

Re: Making sound "sound" sampled?
That really depends on what you want it to sound sampled from (format), and what you want them to sound sampled onto (the sampler) but since you mentioned hip-hop, I assume you're looking for a combo of sampling from vinyl and playing back through an old hardware sampler, so here's some stuff to try...

Re: help waves 9.2 wont load in live 9
That's not fully accurate, Live 9 has both 32 and 64 bit installers! Now, it's fully possible the OP installed it as a 64 bit program, in that case, it could be the culprit.jonahmann wrote:Ableton Live 9 only supports 64bit.
