Re: What new thing have you learned this week?
Using reverb/delay on a Send Channel instead of the channel the plug-in is on. I never understood why doing this is a good idea/ it's just easier than copy/pasting the same reverb/delay patch to each track. also that way they're all going to the same patch so they're all in sync and have a shared &...

@R3B_Official: Man that mix sound wack. You need to work on that mix. And yeah that growl is really really bad. @ Gregory: I like the offbeat glitch hop vibe, the mix is definitely tight, the reese seems to be missing a bit of high end. I'd use some short reverb on just the highs and maybe dimension...

I think ableton is the best daw at resampling. Common m8s, you freeze your track and duplicate the midi and drag it to an audio track and bam! Instant wav file from midi :6: In Logic: highlight region, control-B, return. WAV file from midi in one click and three keystrokes :D Can't get much easier ...

I never bothered to learn Sylenth, it has an ugly ass interface and i never understood subtractive synthesis, which is ironic considering how i completely understand fm.

Big Room House Melodies
I have trouble creating melodies like in Big Room House, it just sounds too complex to be used, and then when i remove stuff, it sounds really awkward.

Re: tips for beginner sound designer
Take the time to sit down and throughly figure out what everything does. You don't need to know what it does to the waveform or q/e, you just need to know how it changes the sound. For example, the RM in Massive, you don't need to know what it does (Modulates Volume) but how it changes the sound.

a little bit, definitely messed with MIDI. I prefer to work with audio though, helps me see what's going on better and I like to expiriment with changing audio and resample. don't know much more than MIDI is a computer generated sound? I feel like reading will help me a lot. I use ableton 9, love a...
