Re: NEW ZOMBOY SAMPLE FOUND!
electronic dance music was founded on sampling you dont get mad at guitarists for not inventing the guitar if you can create a song to the quality and standard that zomboy does using vengeance samples, I will be impressed, manipulating samples into tracks isn't a crime, it sounds good, it works, peo...

Mixing arps to sound distant in your mix but still clear?
Ok so I was listening to this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6m_25oZP568
In the drop, that arp does not interfere with any other elements of the track, I was wondering how one would mix an arp to sound way in the back like that?
Thanks for any help

Which audio interface do I need for these monitors?
Morning DSF, I'm investing in some Studio Monitors. I am buying a pair of M-Audio BX8 D2 costing £250, sadly I'm on a tight budget, I am aware that I need an audio interface in order to effectively use these monitors, my question is... What is the cheapest possible option? I don't need a fancy £150 ...

Re: Stereo Panning VST?
Hard panning two copies of an identical sound doesn't do anything. 100% left + 100% right = 100% center (assuming pan laws, etc) Regardless, you don't have to duplicate a whole track to have parallel effects. That's what effect racks are for. Yes it really does, try it yourself. I'm pretty sure har...

Stereo Panning VST?
I'm calling it that cause I'm not sure what this type of VST would be called, but I'm looking for an audio effect VST that replicates the sound of duplicating a track in ableton and hard panning left/right, preferably with the option to modify how extreme the effect is. I have sonalksis stereo tools...

Basic pattern but incase that interests you, it's just massive with 2 square saw waves, a bitcrusher and an LFO on the all pass filter

Re: 12guage, Mantis, Sadhu, D-Jahsta, Dayn, Jphelpz Sounds
I know that i should layer some machine guns on top of my basses, but could someone send me some, or where i could get them? All mine suck. Sadhu actually uploaded a free sample pack to his FB with random foley and samples in it. It had 2 different samples of machine gun fire from some Call of Duty...

Re: How do i make heavy bass like this
I can never get my basses sounding very beefy... they always sound pretty hollow. I guess it would be best to give you guys an example. Here is something i tried pretty hard on. My bass sounds are just so wimpy. :o [soundcloud]ttps://soundcloud.com/bombs_away/destroy-kittenz-collab[/soundcloud] Com...

Re: How do i make heavy bass like this
First one sounds like a basic massive patch with some distortion, maybe chrome and an lfo on the cutoff of a band reject filter, the second one sounds similair except layered with a sub with a wow filter on it too

Buying a synth/midi controller
Hey, can DSF help me out, I got some good suggestions on my previous thread but I explained wrong, I need a synthesizer/Midi controller that works standalone as well as with ableton live, I was going to purchase the novation impulse but that does not work standalone, my budget is around £300, any su...

Re: Hard 'machine gun' basses? how.
Thanks man. I appreciate it. :D The massive patch I layer my machine gun sounds with is just a single osc with crush on it, phase modulation on it with an LFO. An LFO on the amp and the wt. And 2 double notch filters with no modulation on them. 1 oscillator? Maybe thats my problem, when I try to re...

Re: Looking for a keyboard to work with Ableton
Yeah this is easily possible. Most synths and keyboards have at least a midi out or even midi over usb. Do you want to be able to really create sounds from scratch without the computer as well? Yeah for sure, my only problem is I've been told that when you load the presets or onboard sounds onto th...

Classes/Tutoring/Masterclasses?
I'm going to go ahead an hope this is not a taboo subject on this forum, but I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a producer who is talented and would do paid classes/tutoring to someone who has experience in Ableton Live but not extremely talented. Basically, I'm looking for...
