Re: Phase Issues From Stereo Widening
Turning down the size to zero and only using the dry/wet did give a better result. I can definitely notice how the dimension expander makes it sound a little thinner. I would love to try out using a filter delay. Is there a good one that you would recommend? I've just been using FL Studio's delays f...

Phase Issues From Stereo Widening
Hey guys! I've tried researching around and found somethings that were somewhat close, but still not exactly the answer I was looking for. But Is getting a small amount of phase issues a bad thing when stereo widening instruments? Some of my basses have a little bit of anti-phase when using the pan ...

Re: Destro - Cybertronian Warfare (Melodic Dubstep?)
Thanks! Yeah I feel the sub could be turned up just a little as well. On some of the higher sub bass notes I may need to automate the volume so they don't sound too loud in the mix. I also feel that maybe the cymbals could come down a bit too. The bass used during that section is the same that's use...

Re: Destro - Cybertronian Death Machine (Melodic Dubstep?)
Re-worked the way some of the tracks sit in the mix as well as changed up some EQ settings. I feel that the mix has a lot more room to breathe, but there is always room for improvement. Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks guys!

Re: newcomers -> introduce yourself here
Hey guys! My name is Rhett. I look foward to learning as much as I can in order to become a better producer. I have been a metalhead most of my life, and have played guitar for about 12 years. I recently began writing Dubstep within the last couple months, though I have been into the genre for a cou...

Re: Destro - Cybertronian Death Machine (Melodic Dubstep?)
After listening to the version of the track on Soundcloud, it seems as though the quality is reduced, I tried re-bouncing the track in a different file format and it still seems to have lost quality.I can see why the song may have sound over compressed now. Does anyone know what would be causing this?

Re: The Escape by Wikidill( heavy grime dubstep)
This track sounds so sick! Big ups on that main growl. The second growl that gets used a lot toward the end could be brought up maybe just a little. Awesome job though.

Re: Destro - Cybertronian Death Machine (Melodic Dubstep?)
Thanks! Here's the odd thing, I actually don't have any compression within the session. Do you know what else could be causing it to have that compression effect on the track overall? I would love any suggestions! I tried my best to achieve proper gain staging as well as giving myself a decent amoun...

Re: Derocc - "Drifting and Sinking(Metalstep)
Awesome job! The production sounds really good, and being a huge metal fan you did a great job of getting the sounds to keep that heavy guitar chugging sound. If you don't mind me throwing in a suggestion, getting some heavy guitar chuggs recorded and chopping them up within the track may give it a ...

Destro - Cybertronian Warfare (Melodic Dubstep?)
Here is an un-mastered/un-limited demo that I feel I mixed to the best of my ability. I am still fairly new and always open to learning new things to help improve my mixing abilities. Please give any feedback/critique possible. It is much appreciated. Thanks for your time. -Destro https://soundcloud...
