Re: Unreleased Burial & Four Tet

Burial does collab a lot with Kieran huh? Doesn't help those "Four Tet is Burial" claims floating around. Collab with burial, Burial sounding tune on the album, and sample used in both songs. I do really look forward to getting through the rest of the set though. Sounds like it was really ...

Re: What would you do to 'liven' up your track?

Arrangement is key. Try to cut out some bars, add/remove elements (with filters, other processing), breakdown, Don't make your second drop the same, ... If you find your track way to repetitive at a time.. Analyse why it's so repetitive, I think you will come fairly quick to a conclusion... Also......

Re: WIP Thread - GIVE FEEDBACK TO OTHERS BEFORE POSTING!!!

FIrst time I've posted in hear so hope i'm doing it right lol @LukeRaith This track is really fresh and original. The opening section with those reversed Rhodes pianos playing and reversed hats sounds so cool. Like someone said before, I maybe would've reworked the vocal samples a little bit. You ha...

Brandy- Wanna Be Down (2-Step/UK Garage Remix)

Hey whatsup dubstepforum. Just put a new track up, I've been watching a lot of Kode9 lectures and have started to delve heavily into 2-step and UK garage, El-B type stuff. I heard this banging Brandy remix on the Kode9/Burial mix for Mary Anne Hobbs, and decided to try one out myself. I'm actually p...

Re: let's talk about 'PADS' snh

Yes I absolutely love me some nice detuned analog sounding pads, but like someone else said, with some grit to them. I also have a thing for pads that have long attacks and releases.

Re: What record/etc. did you just buy?

Just bought The Roots of El-B on vinyl and a hip hop record (BIG PUN Capital Punishment.)

Really trying to get into collecting some jungle records, stuff like Foul Play, Omni Trio, if anybody knows a good spot online for that.

Re: Anyone here actually made a whole track in Soundforge?

Yeah exactly, not to mention in that same interview, Burial said he was banging out those Untrue tunes with the quickness. He said he was done with most of the album in like 2 or 3 weeks. I've been able to mix burial tracks into other tracks with ease around the same BPM, don't understand how he did...

Re: WHEELTON - DAMAGE REPORT (DUBSTEP)

Loving the dubby feeling on this. And those little repeating chords are nice. Really interesting and original stuff going on there. Enjoyed it.

Lay down some feedback on my track when you get a chance. http://www.dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.p ... 7#p3431307

Don Solo- Open the Floodgates (Downtempo/Experimental)

Whatsup everybody. New to this forum and decided I'd love to get some feedback on some of the tracks I have on my soundcloud. This one started while I was messing around with some Thom Yorke vocal stems and trying to fit it into a backbeat. Give it a listen hope you guys like it. https://soundcloud....

Re: Question about what to do AFTER you've sent a demo

Nice and to the point. I appreciate the honest feedback. I can assure you I did not make that mistake in my demo submission lol (just a mistake on a forum). I understand where you're coming from with the hyperdub thing. My idea was to cast a net over the handful of labels that I like and feel my mus...

Question about what to do AFTER you've sent a demo

Hey whatsup dubstep forum. My first post ever on here so whatsup. I've dug all through the internet to look up advice and tips and how to send a good demo to labels, DJ's, stations, etc. I finally decided to start and have done all the necessary steps to send what I think was a good and concise demo...
