Hey guys. Been a long time since I've posted here. I got a track done and thought I'd give it out for free.
Feedback welcomed, I'm sure the mix isn't perfect.

Re: I Make BASS Thread
I used massive. Just a normal square wave. One osc.R3b_Official wrote:Sick dude! Did you do the same thing inside harmor also or a different synth?

Re: I Make BASS Thread
Thanks a lot man :W: i kinda new what to do with these sort of sound, even about trying to phase it and use squares since there pretty metallic at time. So after awhile i gave up in fm8 with no good results for a int patch so i went to massive and made a basic patch for a starting point and got a n...

Re: WIP Thread - GIVE FEEDBACK TO OTHERS BEFORE POSTING!!!
@cmgoodman1226 Duuuude, thats some good shit. Just right. I'm not going to pretend to know what I'm talking about when it comes to production but I think you could bring the hats up a bit. It does seem to be really low end heavy. Good job though, earned a new follower. @dougriley I really like the v...

Re: Wubs - Requake, megalodon, p0gman
I have been trying to get this really smooth sound in massive like in this song here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRggcp8Odec
Any tips? I can figure out the modulation.. I just can't figure out how to get such a clean sound from massive. Thanks

Could you guys happen to point me in the direction of some sample packs that have good rimshots? I can't really find any that don't suck in my sample library haha

Using a bass guitar in dubstep?
Anyone ever tried using a bass guitar for your basslines?
If you were to try it, how would you go about it? I was thinking layer a bass guitar with a sub, then send the bass guitar through something like Guitar rig. What do you guys think?
Just an idea, I'm sure it's probably been done plenty.

Re: Help getting this "hollow" bass sound in Massive
Yeah I got some nice sounds from Reason.. It's the automation that turns me away from it.

Re: Help getting this "hollow" bass sound in Massive
Yeah, I still have not figured it out. I got close in Reason but I HATE automating in reason. I honestly think it comes down to the wave tables.

Re: Where to get hit samples like in this song?
I know for a fact the exact samples used in this song came with FL Studio. If you have that look through the stock samples, they are in there.

Looking for artists to promote
I've started a promotion channel for the deeper/darker styles of dubstep and DnB, and I thought that there might be some artists here that would enjoy some free exposure. When it comes to DnB I'm mostly looking for neurofunk, deep, or "techstep" artists. For dubstep, just your usual deep o...

Re: Any opinions on NI Battery before I buy it?
I'd be livid. Good luck with it though man Oh I am.. Trust me. Just trying not to worry about it too much. Since this laptop isn't really fit to produce, I'm going to finally start doing promo for deeper/darker styles of dubstep/drum and bass, so that'll be a decent distraction. Speaking of that, w...

Re: Are you happy with your music?
To be honest? Very, very rarely. The tune in my sig for example.. The more I listen to it the worse it sounds but people seem to dig it so dunno.. I'm very critical of anything I do, though.

Re: Any opinions on NI Battery before I buy it?
Yeah, I'm pretty sure I know the person that did it. The trouble is, I found out through their boss that they just moved (back) out of the country.. Which would probably explain the need to steal stuff (Flight tickets aren't cheap haha). Wasn't someone I was a close friend with or anything, but a fr...

Re: Any opinions on NI Battery before I buy it?
Hey guys, thanks for all the replies. I ended up not being able to buy anything as ALL of my production gear was stolen this week. Desktop, midi controller, speakers, headphones.. Everything.

Snatch - Dark Avenue (Clutchkick Remix) (Neurofunk/DnB)
So this is my first real try at DnB, Made on a pair of headphones so the mix/master probably isn't the best but, it's all I'll have access to for a while.

Any opinions on NI Battery before I buy it?
Hey guys, whats up? I've been thinking about buying NI Battery lately, and was just curious what your thoughts on it were? Or maybe there are better alternatives? Is it good for someone that doesn't have any type of midi controller/drumset?
Thanks!
Thanks!
