Re: How to make LOUD tracks! (Zomboy, Skrillex, etc.)

I'll be honest, at the time I posted this, it wasn't a joke. Thinking back, I realise how absolutely terrible it was... The only reason I kept it up is because I noticed that it was bringing me a lot of attention! Lol

How to make LOUD tracks! (Zomboy, Skrillex, etc.)

I figured how to make mixes really loud without making them sound like crap! (not too much anyway) https://soundcloud.com/officialaceaura/how-to-make-loud-tracks-like-zomboy-read-description 1. Keep it simple, don't add too many different sounds 2. Add parallel saturation to all of your basses 3. Us...

Re: Where We Belong Zomboy Remix Sound Design Thread

I figured out how to make the sound in the beginning of the drop! Uses modern talking, gentle speech, and some post-massive plate reverb. http://soundcloud.com/officialaceaura/i-am-zomboy/s-51dWj OMFG, can you send me the preset? I'm hoping to put up a tutorial on it when I figured out how to route...

Not necessarily, I just used two of my songs as examples. I originally posted this on my website.

Exploration, Uniqueness, and Originality

Recently I have felt like my music is becoming too formulated. I feel like it has evolved a lot since Rise of the Angels and Refuge. Before I had any producing experience, I wasn't afraid to venture out and try new ideas, in fact that was all I did at that stage. Now, I feel as if I'm just trying to...

Cluttered Mixes?

You might be able to tell that I've been trying to get my mixes sounding better in my tracks. For a long time I've been tweaking details, EQing a ton, and compressing. But then I thought to myself, "maybe the problem is that I have so much going on in the song at once". Turns out that that...

Don't Watch Dubstep-Specific Tutorials!

For a long time I have been stuck at the point where I sort of like how my songs sound, but I want them to sound a lot better. More professional. More lively. More like I want them to. I've been watching dubstep tutorial after dubstep tutorial, but I haven't seemed to find what my mixes were missing...

Tip For Young Producers!

As young producers, we naturally feel the need to upload every song we make, right after we finish them. Guess what? Don't! Before you call me an idiot and stop reading, let me give you a few good things to do instead of uploading songs immediately. 1. Make sure it's your best work! If you start mak...
