Re: thoughts on equipment setup ?

thx, I generally feel more undetermined what to get now. damn....there's just SO much cool tish out there to mess with. the ESX1SD seems like a good, all-in-one type solution. I wanted to make sure it could incorporate my own samples into it, and it appears it can do that. (not the EMX1SD though...g...

Re: thoughts on equipment setup ?

Do you have a budget? around $500'ish. What Novation piece are you looking at??? the bigger one, the S. The Kaossilator seems cool, but its a really limited synth. Its really quite shit IMO. I played with one at a friends studio and he sent it back a couple days after he got it. If I remember it ba...

thoughts on equipment setup ?

so, it's nearly 2014...and things have changed over the years regarding what's needed for dub creation. Hardware / software wise. It used to be that a Midi keyboard was mandatory, but still only a piece of the puzzle... now in some aspects, only Novation is required. I initially just wanna go with H...

Re: Learning FL Studio quick ?

chad, I almost feel like you gotta 'feel' it ...to make the best tracks. Even with the xmas mix, I drove myself crazy just to switch 3 songs up..and reposition them. And personally it drove me nuts removing this song from the mix entirely - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDflIlwAdv4 I removed it onl...

Re: Learning FL Studio quick ?

chaddub, sick track in ur sig. see, I wanna be able to make stuff like that from scratch...but also remix current and popular drops. for instance, the first thing I thought about when hearing this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jAtYyZ2HNUk was dubb'ing it up like crazy...but I don't have the skill...

Re: Learning FL Studio quick ?

wub, I like it all. Nothing specific. The reason I asked is, because in ways Fl Studio is harder than learning Linux. With Linux, sometimes you just need 1 command to do what needs to be done. With FL Studio, you need almost everything to work in harmony together....to get perfection. Which is why I...

lol...ok kid.

all i'm sensing is angry virgin talk at the moment.

the ones that need the most guidance, resort to college.

you have fun with that.

Re: Learning FL Studio quick ?

well, i've taught my way to the top so far with no college at all. So I doubt it could be harder than what i've self-taught so far. server admin , owner of multiple domains, business owner... taught myself everything and Google was most of it. Especially with Linux Trust me...they waste a lot of you...

Learning FL Studio quick ?

I do all my mixes currently with Pinnacle Studios, but I feel it's time to really rip stuff up and make my own drops...from scratch I really wanna learn everything about FL Studio...and fast. I find most online tutorials are boring or only concentrate on 1 topic for too long , or something else abou...

my first time checking this thread out. for me SocialMention.com works better than Google Alerts. for example, checking out all the recent public Facebook posts about my recent video...that i'd never know of without it : http://socialmention.com/search?q=v%3DXNV41l88gfY&t=all&btnG=Search all...

Recommended track to Dub up

Couldn't decide whether to post this in off-topic or here. But I was blown away , from searching on youtube for "Devlin Watchtower Dubstep" and 0 results ! No dub cuts yet. Am I the only one that could imagine MANY great versions of this ? The Instru version particularly - http://www.youtu...

Re: GETTING THE VIBES BACK - [Forum Suggestion]

I have been on here since roughly 2008 when I was under the name Dark Matter. And this section of the forum used to be a thriving little hotbed of feedback for everyone from experienced producers to newcomers. Dude, it has nothing to do with this forum...it's ALL forums, and it's a recent trend ove...

Re: newcomers -> introduce yourself here

Good to see a dedicated dubstep forum finally... the music my life seems to revolve around.

Not gonna spam my link, but my stuff is on my profile. Just made an xmas mix a couple days ago.

I'm just doing the mixes currently. looking forward to FL Studio soon.
