Re: What all do you guys compress?
Just do you bro. If that's your music in your sig, I think your music is REALLY fricken cool
Exactly. Use your ears. Does all your compression produce a good result for you? If it works for you, keep doing what whatever works. I could never get some of the sounds I achieve if I saved compression ...

Re: some good 64 bit vsts
well apparently you can "bridge" 32 bit synths into 64 bit but that program costs money... i want it all free
I use jbridge to bridge my 32bit plugins. Yeah, it cost money, but it's cheap and invaluable if it allows you to bring over your favorite synths such as predator (which also cost money ...

Re: Ableton Live 9: Audio Effects Won't Show Up
Just want to point out you don't even have audio effects selected in the image...but if nothing shows up you need to take that question to the ableton support forums.

Re: Question on mixdown process - turning the levels down
You can turn down the volume however you like. Just don't do it by turning down the master fader, or putting a plugin on the master (such as a limiter) and turning down the gain. -3db on the master is fine too, -6db is great, but dont lose sleept if your peaking at -2.5db, but you have a good ...

Re: Any pointers before this thing gets mastered?
Well like I said the track peaks around -3db, which I've read is a great place to be at. How you like the arrangement and mix though? I just uploaded another version lol. Thanks!

Re: Any pointers before this thing gets mastered?
I did some very light mastering on the track just for purposes of sharing it with you guys for preview. After the mastering plugs are turned off it peaks at -3db. Also, I've uploaded new version with tons of adjustments to the mix. Hopefully I didn't make it worse. Getting really hard to tell whats ...

We're a bit fatigued from listening to this for hours and hours on end. What needs to be adjusted before this is shipped off for mastering?
edit: track is pretty much finalized. I'm quite happy with its current state. Let me know if there is anything about it that you think could be better.

WiP- (Trance) Been a while since I made trance
Been a minute since I made some trance, do you guys like the tracks direction? This is obviously very raw, straight out of Ableton with hardly any arrangement. Please post suggestions, if you hate it or like it, something in particular is annoying.

Whats up everybody. Looking forward to creeping around the subforums. We been producing for about 5 years now. Here is a link to our soundcloud if your interested. Got pretty much a chillstep/liquid dnb vibe.
