Re: Can you put a free download on a bootleg remix?

I am not sure how they do it, but it will prob eventually get taken down given it is a big name artist. Here is a nice letter that I got for one. I think they scan your track names and also what ever is used for song ID like Shazam technology. I have been seeing some people use leet for the name to ...

Re: Okay for real, how the f&$% is this sound made?

He sampled Zomboy....OH SNAP!!! In all seriousness....kind of... I think he has been rocking Massive a lot lately because of the phase osc trick. Jeeezus...fk that remix...watch his next vid....dayum son https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2VmcuOEqEg Off topic, but what is this phase osc trick exactly...

Re: Good reminder of why you shouldn't always trust your ear

Hmm...there might be. I believe you anyway...If you are producing music and analyzing sound in tiny details...you should be able to judge if something is different. I have seen a few things about DAW sounding different but everyone monitors in different ways it is hard to say what is happening. http...

Re: Good reminder of why you shouldn't always trust your ear

Hmm...that seems odd. Do you notice the reverse...if you actually export the reference track from Logic, will it retain that harshness when you put it back into iTunes? When I export tracks, they sound exactly the same through iTunes as they do in Ableton. You should remove all FX so you aren't colo...

Re: Jack U Snare

Thats funny...the Jack U one sounds like the reverse of the Eprom one. Eprom has a dunk-click and then Jack U has a click-Dunk but just at a higher pitch. Agu is right though...I think it sounds like the same sample just pitched up. Try VEC2 Percussion 11 pitched up 5 semi tones and compressed like ...

Re: What's the point of doing this?

I think he mis-spoke because before that he said he was adding "two point seven kay" and then he summarized it as "twenty seven kay" because he was camera nervous.

This looks like what he is using...no 27Khz setting

Re: Good reminder of why you shouldn't always trust your ear

This is an important topic in analyzing and producing sound. I think you are on to something but it isn't your ears...you should absolutely trust your ears...more so...you should know your output system...very very well. You hear what you hear...your system and perhaps the room you are in however, w...

Re: New Skrillex Sound

Sounds like the Immunity growl actually. And I don't know how to make either of them lol. It does resemble what happens if you use parabolic shaper though,. It definitely does. I didn't realize how close the Brostep growl (second drop) is to the Immunity growl (second phrase). This new growl sounds...

Re: Parasite/City 2 City Zomboy growl question

You know what though...there was that one dude who posted an FM8 patch that said Zomboy used it from a sample pack that he had. I will eat my words that I previously said. I think it was a quick little off shot growl in a track.

Hahaha you could be the first one ever to use the word "unique" in a Zomboy thread
