Re: Bass Wobble Frequency Range?
Yeah I agree with add9, if you want a big robust aggressive bass that sounds "full" it'd only make sense to fill the whole spectrum (except below 100hz, that's for ur sub), start on midrange first, about 200 - 2-3khz. I find midrange is crucial for basses like that, they add up and make th...

Re: Deadzone - Release the Kraken (Need Mixdown advice!!!)
^^^^Wtf... oh well, my reply is in there, I guess you can still read it. It looks like I can just duplicate the kick channel and send it to a compressor and then mix the two together. But which one controls the sidechaining? yeah that's it, but one wet and one dry! you can use any, but ease of use ...

Oh and I also use FL STUDIO! But I got stuck with FL 10 (for reasons I wont mention...) Lol, I'm also stuck in FL10. I have 11, but its not the producer edition, so I always use 10.... With you both on that one aha,, what compressors are you using for your drums? A personal favourite of mine is wav...

The drop is interesting, the way the synths go I expected the typical garage beat, but it surprised me, really nice work! got nice groove as it progresses too

Re: Layering a sub bass with another sub bass, good idea?
So is what you're saying that you lp filtered at 35hz and hp at 90hz? Why would you not want everything in between that? I mean most of my subs hit around 50hz (obviously because I pretty much write everything in f minor) I may have read wrong but what I think you're describing sounds like it would...

Layering a sub bass with another sub bass, good idea?
So basically in this new project I'm working on, I have a DEEP sub bass, round about 30 hz, barely audible but it creates that proper shake through subs. I want that type of sub bass you can slightly hear and feel, but when I up it an octave it becomes that sub that you just hear, like you know the ...

Re: Proper soaking wet basses?!
I'll tell you flat out it's way more than that Incase anyone still wants to know, I've been achieving some great wet and wonky basses basically, pick your waveforms (in massive for this case), route them both equally to each filter.. set you filters in a series circuit, not parallel (default). first...

Protohype - Downfall [ukf free release]
So has anyone heard Protohypes new tune? We all know protohype as a big fat bro, making massive growls n shit. BUT his new track is soooo deep! To me this is shedding light on the dubstep scene, glad protohype has been the man! You don't need a big fat bro basses every 2 beats followed by a screech,...

Gannon - Candy Dip [Psy-Dub?] Help me define this
A track I made 5 months ago. The intro is clearly mainly psy-trance, but it doesn't have the structure or arrangement of most psy tracks, and plus at 2:45 it's switched up to a dubstep phat bass. So i dubbed it "psy-dub", hands down one of my favourite creations for originality and creativ...

"Lemons" Requake and datsik mix? [Dubstep]
So I made this tune about 2/3 months ago, and my kinda reference tracks for this was some requake stuff that influenced the one shot wub, and old style datsik midrange basses. At the time I loved the idea, but I'm really straying away from the typicals wobbles, moving towards more darker stuff. The ...
