Re: Creating eerie atmosphere's

put a nice big reverb onto a track, could be a sample, a synth...anything.
freeze the reverb (most reverb plugins have this function)
record and bounce that audio
put it into a sampler, loop it then and play droning notes/ chords

Re: TUNA! LIVES FOREVER

would be interested to hear how you went about achieving that sound at 2:48. Kick drum every bar transposed down around 20-30 tones leading to some shitty fart like sound. Then a couple different FX chains with different overdrive/saturation. Also an Ableton effect called 'Erosion' , I think it jus...

Re: TUNA! LIVES FOREVER

definitely agree with this. just make tunes, think about everything else later.

I'd definitely be happy to give feedback on some overall EPs. Would be nice to see how some tuna submissions get shaped up and polished into something bigger a few weeks/months later.

Re: TUNA! LIVES FOREVER

Ah I see what you mean, thats cool and pretty useful. I'd say is totally possible your musical imagination has increased just like playing an instrument would help. The only difference is producing is more about the whole/all the instruments together, and its probably harder to measure performance. ...

Re: TUNA! LIVES FOREVER

Thats really cool. Are you ever able to translate that to an actual tune? I sometimes hear little parts (not a full song ) but I find I can never do that. I often find working on something, leaving it, then subconsciously thinking/singing/imagining it in the shower/making a cup of tea or whatever - ...

Re: TUNA! LIVES FOREVER

yeah i do like the visual design of those sort of things. wasn't really thinking of anything like that for the tune but thats why i love to hear what other people think. that kind of thing works well in lorn - sega sunset https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mauV2NdCs60 I'm talking a lot but not giving f...

Re: TUNA! LIVES FOREVER

the tuna marches on!

btw i agree with everyones feeling that in person collabs are better than online. If any Tuna-ers (Tunettes?, Tunites?) ever find yourself in the West Midlands for whatever reason, you're always more than welcome to crash at mine and make bare tunes

Re: TUNA! LIVES FOREVER

I haven't had the chance to properly use it yet. Basically it looks like an organised way to save versions of a project with notes for each version within the project like things you've changed. You can make it public or shareable with specific people. I guess its just more organised than constant s...
