How to Make This Type of Dubstep Snare?
Hey, I have been trying for so long to make the type of snare in the song below, but I can't quite get it right. I am currently using snare samples from the Vengeance: Dirty Electro Vol. 3 sample pack. Does anyone have an suggestions on how to make this type of snare? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

Huge Zomboy, xKore, Skrillex basses
For years now I have been trying to find a way to make my basses sound as big as the likes of skrillex and zomboy and haven't had much luck. I already know about stereo imaging and that has helped some but even still my basses don't even compete with the pros. Ive looked everywhere trying to find go...

Re: Creative Sub Bass Processing
I know this is a very unorthodox way of doing it but it gives me a really heavy sub bass. Just a sine wave in massive with the intensity a lil over halfway. Put a lowpass filter on it with the cutoff at default and no resonance. After that I use sausage fattener to compress/slightly saturate the sub...

Re: Sub Bass Trouble
Thx guys. I stopped saturating my bass and instead used a sine and a smooth square wave to add in some harmonics which I then ran through a lowpass filter. My sub is much cleaner now. The only other question I have is should I compress the sub? If so, by how much?

If you go on youtube and search "far too loud tutorial" you can find a video where he shows how he uses guitar rig.

Sub Bass Trouble
I don't know why, but i made a sub bass for a song that I'm making and i did everything that ur supposed to do (low cut bass sounds, side chain sub to kick, saturated the sub, etc.) but when I hear it in the song it doesn't sound clear and thumpy like the ones in big-name productions, it actually mu...

Re: How to get rid of "hum" from Ohmicide
To be more specific, in the original patch there is a little bit of unwanted noise (not really sure whats causing it) and after adding Ohmicide the noise becomes way more audible.

Re: Frustration.....
This is something I've been experiencing also. I think that we as producers are our own worst critic so we tend to overthink things whig leads to stress and frustration. Eventually we get so frustrated that we forget to have fun with our music. My best tracks have been the ones that I have had the m...

Re: AU FM synths that can draw harmonics like Sytrus or Oper
Those are the only two that I know of. However, fm8 has some wavetables inside it that already have upper harmonics programmed into them.

How to get rid of "hum" from Ohmicide
Usually when I process growl basses i like to distort them with Ohmicide. It makes the growl overall sound good but it also adds some unwanted artifacts. How can i prevent this while still keeping the full sound that the distortion gives me?
