80/90's synthesizers for around £100?
Anyone picked a synth from around that time for anytime recently? If so, was it worth it?

Warehouse project - Albert Hall
What's it like there? From what I've seen there's only one stage and looks more like a gig than a club

Why use different EQ plug-ins?
So what's the difference between say; the inbuilt ableton EQ 8 and the Renaissance Equalizer by Waves, for example? (Aside from the amount of bands)

Re: Airvalue - Dikke Taarte (Umea Remix)
Pretty sick
Nice sqwelchy sounds, work great together. I'd sidechain the kick with the bass abit more harshly. Might give it abit more of a "riddim" effect.

Re: NKTRNL - Red Eye [Heavy]
Nice and roomy, reverb's working great!
I think the kick is abit muffled though, particularly during the drop. Snare too. I don't think sidechaining would fix it either so I'd just change it completely or remove most of the bottom end during the drop.

Most interesting thing you've sampled?
I once sampled myself breathing out as a whitenoise substitute. It wasn't really worth the 1000% extra effort though

Re: What's a "healthy" looking waveform?
ya, haven't really got any other way to get the waveforms up though and I think when making mixing your sounds, looking at the waveforms can be quite useful. you could reference it to some similar loopmasters samples or something to see if you're on the right track. obviously, your ears should be yo...

Re: dotFLV - Huh Damn [free (riddim) dubstep EP]
They all seem to follow the same sort of structure, build, drop, kick, snare, bass etc. When the drop comes in - all that can be heard is a simple bass kick and snare and it gets boring. There needs to be more too it than that, make it more complex. It's like there's bass for the sake of bass, which...

Re: .flv - Killing Basses (Dubstep track)
I think the drum fills are too common, so it's abit less of an impact when the next bar hits following the fill. Basses are really nice, abit piercing though, so its not something I'd wanna listen to. This is just personal preference, overall some great filtering, composition and the vocals are pret...
