Go to youtube, search something along the lines of "advanced massive growl tutorial" and filter that shiz by "upload date". As for your specific sound, try changeing the filter to either comb or double notch. Fux with the filter settings. Try adding a parabolic shaper and hardcli...

Hahaha I use lots of my own design don't worry. I'm just saying, I think it's okay to use synth / bass samples / one shots. As long as you do more post processing than adding reverb haha
