is it even possible for both channels to be identical when ripping from vinyl? i'd think there would be at least some differences caused by the stylus, even if the record is pressed in mono. Exactly, even background surface noise and static would register in stereo. Strange to record it from the wa...

there's not much of a difference (if any, cba to check) between the audio on the left and the one on the right channel, if that's what you mean. I noticed that the recordings floating around are in mono (the two that I've seen at least). I'd be very surprised if the vinyl was actually cut mono, but can anyone who has a copy confirm?
