Re: How to downtune a vocal an octave and still keep it clea
The technique is made with formant shifting so Melodyne is really good, I use waves tunes, and the complex pro mode in ableton can allow you to do it but not quite as well. I think that most vocal tuning software can do it. If you down pitch a vocal in the complex pro mode you will see an option for...

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread
I do like that growl, it is on par with a lot of the styles you hear out there. I am curious what the patch sounds like without the phaser and vocoder. Are you willing to post about the patch itself?

Re: Trappy-808 Sub Kicks - Audio or Midi??
MIDI can be flakey sometimes but it isn't MIDI itself, it is the program using it. FM8 for example has terrible errors like skipping the first arpeggiator note in 64bit mode. Sometimes it's your own fault for not having envelopes restart but sometimes the VST or FX isn't consistent. I used to use a ...

Re: The none "how to make this sound" thread to make music
Haha so you want a second growl thread on how to make growls sound good? :dunce: Seriously though, I know what you mean. Just making a patch is 1/3 of the battle. I think you are approaching the top secret art of production and anyone worth while to share the skills prob wants to keep them secret. A...

Re: Jack Ü - Take Ü There sound
Thats pretty cool, I like it. Besides all of the reverb and stuff, yours seems to have a bit more airy attack...its like FFFoomp FFFoomp kind of like a brass instrument.

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread
Keep in mind my growl track is in a group that has some gentle processing and the entire project is mastered so it will sound fuller than just doing this from scratch. Enjoy!

That is a good call, that Jaymac tutorial has a similar tone to it. I wonder if you swap mtalk out for carbon or something to make it smooth...

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread
Ssssssup growl forum. I got a couple of growls in my track (start at 1:55 to hear them quick) and I am willing to do some tutorials if anyone is interested. The first growl is a Serum growl and the lower beastly one is my Teminite-style growl out of FM8. The Serum patch is pretty cool because I took...

I think that is Skrillex's contribution...it has the signature ninja vowel stuff to it...which means...FKing good luck with that one!

Re: Trollphace/Skrillex Bass
Also feel the need to say that trollphace does indeed jump around daw wise, it totally depends who he's collaborating with or what style he's working on! When hes working with juju OR on some wonky shit like this he uses reason, I believe when he's just working on tearout tunes he uses logic/fl (th...

Random Atmosphere Generator - Massive Trick
Hey all. I just stumbled upon something really random and wanted to share (no pun intended...you will see). Open up massive and set the unisono to 2 or more. Pan all the way to the edge. Go into the global tab and select every box under the randomize section. Select "all" and you will get ...

Re: Trollphace/Skrillex Bass
Ok, check the link again…I updated it with a closer patch. I will work on vid tutorial tonight. It sounds like the 3rd sweep is just a slight modulation change on the same patch and I can't get the patch to do it so I don't think this is the right way to get this sound but hey…kind of close.
