Re: UK Workers : Least Productive in Europe

Seckle the G7 isn't Europe so if you're going to try and post inflammatory bollocks that you don't understand particularly well then you can at least get your facts right. Go read about the miners strike that brought down the Heath government in 1974 or the winter of discontent that effectively sig...

Re: UK Workers : Least Productive in Europe

One of Thatcher's gripes was that England of the early 80's wasn't producing enough, or creating enough new weath in order to create new jobs & industries. The tories exploited this by creating a class war that England's still reeling from. The most suprising thing about this study is that count...

Re: Calvin Harris named Forbes world's highest paid DJ in 20

ANY press article that lists an artist's performance fee is mgmt/agency/PR strategy. it gives the agency a platform to make & ask for more money next year for the artist. meaning dj bananas made $50k in 2012, so you better have $55k by 2013. same way in hollywood with movie stars and fees. forbe...

Re: Are dsf members still attracted to conspiracies?

remember that all mass media in times of recession or war ( vietnam & iraq are pivotal examples) generally promote an establishment objective or manifesto. they push the establishment hardest, instead of the general public's opinion immediately, because the latter is what they live and make prof...

Re: Are dsf members still attracted to conspiracies?

i'll never forget the levels of near guru worship of A Jones on DSF. people so worked up by a website, that they bought into all the screaming and paranoia machinery like gospel. like it was a cult. its even funnier now that his whole bubble of " investigative journalism " has been burst,...

Re: delete account

we used to remove accts back in the days, and then we had some really bad server crashes. as someone said, sometimes the smallest edit to the database can crash the whole site, and to avoid losing potentially several days of posts ( its happened before ) just to remove one persons acct, we just don'...

Re: Greatest/most epic threads on DSF?

i'm just saying that threads from way back don't get revised, edited or deleted, unless its something related on that list above. people think we spend time doing things, and the reality is so far from that.

Re: Greatest/most epic threads on DSF?

re deleted threads there used to be a lot more post-revision of posts 07 to 09 so I used to print off threads at work got folders & folders of em don't know whether I'll live long enough to go thru them but just saying otherwise deleted threads may still exist. post revision? nothing gets revis...
