the author was JG Ballard. I liked the sound of the story about the guy with the sonic vacuum cleaner.

Youngsta - Mar 05
http://www.lilo.net/~martin/youngstaRinseFM.mp3 (Blackdown)

that was the first dubstep i ever heard. maybe its because it was the first but i don't think i've liked a set more since. great selection, nice and deep.

good point, for some reason i thought they were based in Europe. I guess the point that annoyed me is they just seemed to price the album by adding together the single tracks (more or less).

perhaps i need to knock off early and go for a pint :)

I'm a big fan of bleep.com and am always disappointed more dubstep labels aren't on there. prices seem fair and service is good. when i used to float around the dnb dj scene as long as it didn't cost me to do it i was a happy man. free drinks, few quid for train if needed etc. i had a full time job anyway and preferred it like that, i didn't want it to become a chore.

This seems a good place to mention that that Vex'd remix of Toasty's The Knowledge is one of the cleverest remixes I've heard. Keeps the same sound to the bassline and similar snare work but changes the vibe to something much more sinister. the flip of that tune (loafah remix of candyfloss) is my f...
