It's not so much the build-up/drop thing that is the main problem...it's that I kinda got addicted to one track 'dropping' straight into the drop of a different track with a different style.

To date I've been making a steppy prods on my atari st using chip and mod trackers...

Also I have started using my akai s1000 again with the atari.

Really like the crunchy lo fi sounds and I've got used to this method of working.

I do a little post prod usually involving reverb and compression ...

By third bassline do you mean the main part of the song or the little outro that should actually be another tune I think?

There is no lfo or anything like that on the ym2149 so the 'wobble' was faked by cuttting 'holes' in the wave and appregiating...and yes..completely ...

Quarta 330 from Japan springs to mind. He uses two gameboys.

There's also a gameboy guy called wildman.steve from the US.

there are others who use 8-bit style vstis in FL studio like unicornkid.

kode9 has bleeps and stuff and a few grime producers tend to use those 8 bit ...
