Cubase pisses all over fruity loops :D From fruity to cubase was the best move in my life. The work flow on fruity loops is good, dont get me wrong. But ammending loops and melodys is a pain in tha arse. For getting fast ideas down its good. But the end product always tend to sound like block muisc...

Haven't come across templates in cubase before (only got it recently), how do they work? Cubase has been a bit of a bitch to work on but I find it better than reason and fruity having demoed them before. Though there are things that I feel should be simple that are bloody annoying to do, like assig...

Cubase is too much for me too, way more than necessary for electronic music IMO... for a live band situation though, I can see it being good. actually it's apparently fucking awful for that  I love Cubase but on ly because I've been using for so long now that I don't have to think about what I...

yeah, there are rules that used to be enforced and you'd have less talk about warez, no one posted tunes, and people were reminded to read the production bible and use the search function. when the mods dont step in to do this, the forum becomes a bit chaotic STFU you know nothing :x :P

snare goes here snare goes there blah blah blah

the only thing that defines dubstep is big bass and beats at around 138-140 Bpm

dubstep is so much more that half step wobblers

the whole samplepack vs synthesis debate has been done to death. Some people get fantastic results from samples and some people get fantastic results from synthesis.

Judge the end result not the process used to achieve it
