The 1st book is Holy to me. I think the film captures the tone of the book in terms of intensity and the subtle communications but is still a bit messy. Really influential when I was a kid though, especially the Brian Eno theme. Epic.

It seems like the use of "hyperjargon" is more about creating an atmosphere or speeding up the rhytmic cadence of the reading. I definetly find myself skimming the specifics and groking the essense with a lot of CCRU stuff.
