Re: MEDi027! [Calibre]

Haven't seen Calibre in years....Has he got long hair now? Looks strange. Will always remember him with a shaved head from his Creative Source/Signature days

Re: Cosmogramma

Went to a Buddhist festival yesterday.
Sat down in the sun, turned "Cosmogramma" on & just watched the people/dancers on stage, smelt the incense, food, flowers......the album made sense amongst all that activity.
Fucking brilliant really! :D

Re: Cosmogramma

Hmmm.... Didn't have any expectations for this album. I heard all the track previews on Juno download when it was released this week, then decided to buy it all. Its a growing album. 1. I find it more sweeter & richer than L.A 2. I like the organic angle Fly Lo has gone 3. Its similar but differ...

Re: Wonky Hip Hop Versus Dubstep

You shouldn't try to compare 2 different sounds. They both have & serve their own purpose.
Strangely enough they fit in quite well together though they have different bpm's.

Re: Shlohmo - Shlo-Fi EP

Theres something very Burial-esque about this E.P.
Loved his mix on XLR8R, but this is a very different angle.
Not so glitchy (which i like), dark, very moody & textured, ghostly sounding as if driving through the streets on a dark night!

Re: Ableton to CDJs - anyone made the move?

I play out vinyl, but recently purchased an 800MK2, as i had a whole bunch of 320mp3's & in the last 6 months had purchased a lot more than i intended. I found out learning & using the CDJ was easy, if youv'e used tunrtables before the CDJ can give you added expandability in mixing tunes tha...

Re: AUSTRALIAN DUBSTEP SCENE??

Not to be biased, but Sydney followed closely by Melbourne (but they both maybe the largest scenes for the sound) The Void Crew & Garage Pressure Crew (Aquatic Lab Records) have been pushing the sound & putting on parties for years. Currently every month they host the "Void" party ...

Re: hud mo LP - butter

My thoughts; It took me a few listens to understand the album. Your definitely not going to get it straight away but the albums grows on you. The production is impeccable, the elements i found most interesting is the way the album was arranged. Im glad Hud Mo hasn't gone straight for just making a b...
