You can get a small and basic keyboard for well under £100, but if you want rotary knobs, pad triggers you will be upping the price. I personally have an edirol pcrm1, its only tiny but im no pianist....

first time I have heard of doing this, might give it ago. but from my sense it seems to be a bit strange to mix into it, surely it is better to get the track sounding good before adding any compression, smae with any other effects, usually try to keep it as dry as possible.....but then I am not putt...

I have not been on a course, I did a fair bit a uni but that was general computer music rather than specific programe.

Not sure if I would recomend it though as you will probably be able to find out most of the information they are likely to teach you on the net anyway.

oke to make it all clear to all you beatmakers... Make something more 'organic' or others say 'human', has nothing to do with eq's, compression, fx's and stuff. IT'S ABOUT THE NUANCE OF UR SAMPLE(PLACEMENT)!!! an unquantized 808 beat wont never sound organic or human cause the sounds itself aren't ...

scrap quantise, get a midi controller and play in each part. Try placing elements using panning and EQ delay and reverb to create depth, try to imagine you electronic sounds being played by an orchestra, where would each sound be originating from if you where listening to a group playing it to you l...
