Bass Clef at Bloc Weekender. The dude plays instruments in his live sets, has infinitely more creativity than most DJs, plays a variey of original heavy beats, and in this instance the audio was over a Funkion 1 system. Big! In fact probably one of the best artists from any genre I've seen Live. Mak...

Re: Dubstep "real" 3d visuals

Hey guys, I'm currently working on "real" 3d visuals for STUN london, a dubstep/drum and bass night on brick lane (London). By "real" I mean the kind you check out with the red/blue glasses, afaik theres only one cheese-based "3d disco" that's ever been run properly. I...

Cheers for the advice Paradiso. get some decks :D Have mate, Stanton ST150s, pure lush with the timecoded vinyl. To be honest I just love mixing, and the more tools I have and more choice e.g. vinyl/digital, just makes it all the more fun. Might even get a CD deck. Digital at 48khz via my Korg Zero ...

Can I change my forum name and retain my joined date etc?

Ez Forum peeps,

I was wondering if it would be possible to change my forum name to my DJ name (Dubtekka) without losing my posts and joined date?

Thanks for any advice...

Here's how I set up my grids for dubstep: Let Traktor guess the bpm of the track. If you're using legal downloads, this is very straightfoward: the tracks will (in the vast majority of cases) be a whole number or maybe .5 (140.00, 142.00, 138.50, etc). If Traktor says its 139.97 or something, just ...

I have Traktor 3 set up with a Korg Zero 4 mixer. I found this tutorial among others on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBzejpuGk5Y However, even following that I am also having trouble making accurate beatgrids. Even though I follow the instructions I still find that I get a tighter mix by ...

Unfortunately Boomkat got the worst customer care, I avoid them like the plague. I recommend to use Digital-tunes instead I'd have to disagree based on my experience of Boomkat. I've bought thousands of pounds worth of records from them. In that time the only problem I've had is that they didn't se...

I have Traktor and white control cinyl, you can pick them up from any shop. Plus Traktor is supposedly a lot better than Searto in terms of both reliability and feature, although pesrsonally I don't know.

I use Traktor and Vinyl but was also thinking of getting to grips with CDJs as they're getting pretty standard in clubs now. The Denon CD decks look interesting as they have 2 outputs and are basically 2 decks in one, being able to mix 2 tunes off 1 CD: http://www.decks.co.uk/products/denon/dnhs5500...

I saw the Rusko live set at Bloc. I must say it wasn't half bad and has lots of potential. It was a heavy set but there's still a couple of negatives in my book, which is obviously personal opinion and wouldn't concern everyone, but; a) The bass guitar sound was a lott less bassy than his produced b...
