why don't you ask the record shop owner to order the things you wanna have, i mean if they can order the major labels they can order the smaller ones too, it's obvious that you know alot more of this stuff than the record shop owners, tell them what youre seeking, give them contacts of distributors ...

check out some DTL (drop the lime) and mathhead mixes, i think there are some on the board here...
