I also do as Ollie said and layer a specific hihat sound or white noise on top of the snare can give the snare...

People paying out FL usually don't know what they are talking about  They think it makes them sound sophisticated, and they are probably threatened by your music.

Re: SOLD ALL GEAR, Building Studio after 5+ yrs, PICS!!!

I do like to have a mid keyboard to mess with melodies, easily trial different chords, etc. I can't play the keyboard, but i've now had the midi controller for a few years and if I produce with it off I feel like my hands are chopped off. It's just easier to play different sounds rather than mousing...

Re: Tips on being more creative?

For me being creative means being prepared to make something shit, not holding myself to standards. When I forget that the next track I make is not going to make me famous, I make crappy music which I don't like.

wtf are you saying here? That digital is better than analogue ? GTFO. If that the assumption you made, then I can assume that you mostly like digital only productions, even though you still think analogue is superior. I can also assume that you mostly listen to music from the 80's onwards, with the...

Ms Bassline arrives at work, looking really pissed off.
Mr Compressor: "hey Ms Bassline, why are you so upset?".
Ms Bassline: "I was driving here on the freeway when I was cutoff by Mr. Lowpass!"

Re: Do you ever give feedback to random tunes in the Dubs bo

I rarely do these days, but I used to a bit more. I would try and say something meaningful, not just "nice track" or something. Usually I'll try and say something that I really like about the track, and if need be something that could do with improvement. Generally people respond pretty we...
