I also think it's important to not send a track straight out after you've finished it. I always get too excited about a track that I've finished and send it to a few people, and then realise that it's not completely finished. Maybe leave the track for a week or two and listen back to it, and see if ...

I always thought Spongebob was the cause of Brostep, not saying it's a brostep track. It was just one of those tracks that took the midrange sound to the ultimate at the time. Nobody heard anything like it and people just wanted to beat it. But they really haven't.
