Re: List of dubstep CDs

I know this is missing a few things, and some listed as forthcoming may actually be out by now, but it has been updated since last time... also, I'm not always certain which ones are download only, but they're all albums in some sense. So, what's missing? Currently available single artist albums 256...

Does Lo Dubs do digital releases at all? Not seeing this at any of the usual suspects (boomkat, bleep, beatport, addictech, emusic, itunes....)

Really liking the Indi Kaur Exile track. Atmosphere, beats, and beautiful vocals are always a win imho. The rest of it is solid (really liking the Exile remixes, too), but that version of Exile is the one that stands out for me.

Any emusic subscribers here? A lot of Tempa stuff just showed up there. Grabbed a few EPs and singles, and will undoubtedly get more later.

If that Deep Medi Musik presents is a compilation I would seriously be overly happy It was mentioned somewhere around here a couple of years ago now. There's a record store in Australia called Inertia that has it available for preorders with a catalogue number of MEDICD001 and a release date of Apr...

I have to agree with the people who think Joy Division dubstep could work, but not necessarily with Love Will Tear Us Apart. Hell, if the Perceptionists can sample Joy Division for a hiphop track and make it work (see "What Have We Got to Lose"), using Joy Division in dubstep should be easy.

Post updated October 1, 2008 (don't need to bump this every time) Okay, so what's missing this time? There are bound to be a lot of download-only things that I missed, but I think I have most of the stuff available on CD listed here. I hope. Dubstep is getting to be a significant body of work. Ther...

There's always metalstep, which was applied to that Vex'd and Distance mix on MAH's show a year or two ago.

I'd love to hear some Nadja stuff remixed by dubstep producers, personally.

I just wish someone would make a movie of the visuals that pop up in my mind's eye listening to this. This music is richly textured and atmospheric, building up some dark, tense moods. And concise: ideas don't get played out and extended beyond their ability to keep your interest. When you're infilt...

Love that old electronic music. Raymond Scott's Manhattan Research is a lot of fun, too.

I wish that a certain album had come out when it was supposed to.
