Simplest thing to do is probably use a HD Dslr with an external mike running straight in to the input of the camera. Final cut pro X is piss easy to use, but something like IMovie will probably do the job, most pros I know use Avid.

I just got a super cheap vintage Rollieflex camera, not very exciting but it made me happy.

This has a segment on the whole digging thing, good doc..

It has such a clean signal path (no eq's or filters ) plus some of the best components on the market ( alps blue velvet pots) it can't help but sound a whole lot better than an A&H ( not sure I'd be able to hear the difference though)

Japanther are one of the very best live bands I've seen, so much fun.

A single Technics 1210 with an old stanton 500 (gonna be upgraded) through a mediocre Sony amp into Mission 70 mk2's
does the job.

"Come and see" and "Waltz with Bashir" would be top of my list, not in anyway fun films.
