Man, if you ask me, it's mainly due to Pitchfork being all up on Burial's shit like sweat on a fat kid walking home after a long day of eatin' in the summer. A lot of Americans I know weren't even AWARE of dubstep before Burial blew the fuck up. Choosing Burial as the breakout of dubstep, I don't t...

This topic is so great. I know many professional composers/producers, DJ's, sound designers of varying degrees of vision, talent, and originality...working in all kinds of applications. ALL of them want to take their careers as far as they can and they are ALL interested in lots of music besides edm...

I guess I should weigh in here. The whole sell-out/underground argument is such a gray area. Art and commerce are such deep topics/aspects in culture (American/western culture taking #1 spot 100-fold); it's hard to even pinpoint what is being debated because there's so much misunderstanding of how i...

All these names seem spot-on...Widdler (I dropped the email sorry man!), Phaeleh, Sully, Rakoon, Mindflow, Rumblejunkie (that Broken Inst. rmx is in my top 5 of 2008), Morphous, Narcossist, all great production.

If it sounds good, it IS good. One of my all time fave music quotes that catches all without all the subjective viewpoints and ideaologies clashing.

I think it's not an apple to apple comparision. One instance is a band, and the other is a DJ/selector. I'm not saying it's bad at all and a band can create that space and weight. As far as reaction with the DJ dropping big tunes...there is an equal yet different reaction to bands/live musicians and...

Just throwing it out there! Also we are playing with Dee Pop (Bush Tetras) ...
