Yeah you would, the sound of your heart pumping would reverberate through your bones up your neck to your ears and you'd hear it.

That is, if your blood wasn't being sucked out of your ears at the time. Then I doubt you'd hear anything.

Ask a scientist, they'll tell you black's not a colour, black's the absence of colour. Ask a painter though, and they'll tell you of course black's a colour, they use it all the time, and if it's not, why does a pot of black paint cost anything?

Same thing with silence innit.

Christ knows why I checked "Notify me when a reply is posted" here. Hi everybody, long time no see. And when my freebie subscription to Tape Op ran out, I paid up and get every issue now. :D EDIT: The article in question was a pisstake, Oz Fritz contributes them every so often, kind of a running jok...

This kinda goes with my thoughts in the Burial bass thread. There should be two forums. One where people who are happy to answer questions, answer questions, and one where every question is answered by "load up a synth and try everything you can think of until you find it out for yourself" and/or "j...

Bollocks to those answers. I didn't learn to play guitar by picking up a strat and playing whatever came into my head until it sounded good. I ripped off Hendrix, Dimebag and the Radiohead guy for years. You don't learn to cook by throwing whatever's in the cupboard into a frying pan and seeing what...

I've struggled with trying to copy/emulate/steal his bass sounds as well. Best I can come up with is to sample a hoover, reverb it, layer it with original dry hoover and low-pass them both. It's ok but it still doesn't have that clarity. Like on Catchphrase, it's good, but it's not the one.

Not if you don't monitor the input from Patchmix DSP. A mixer's not the answer, it's just going to act as another 'effect' (one that doesn't actually do anything) in the signal chain.

Pigeon-holing any continent into one sentence is inherently racist. But there are still active, primitive tribes in Africa, and they do still play drums.

Now shut the fuck up and post samples.

The knobs and sliders on the MPD24 :|

Obviously not what it's intended for, but 8 smooooth endless rotarys and 6 sliders, with a free MPC controller thrown in ain't bad.

you know, i have absolutely no idea. i looked around the renoise forum but couldnt find anything about it. i did recall someone wrote a format converter which included xrns but you also gotta pay for that, in which case you might as well pay for renoise. some free trackers might load up xrns files ...
