JAM1's 125-140 BPM Mix (Feb 2013)

Been well over a year since I last recorded a mix, so I went in on an hour and twenty five minutes of 125-140 bpm selection. Starting at dub techno, moving through house, garage, dubstep and a few other hybrid styles in between. In glorious 320kbps too! Tracklist: Occult Feat. Mr Joe - Mesopatamia T...

Re: The 'Field Recording Exchange' Thread

Giving this a bump... I've organised to go and pick up an 'as new' Zoom H2 recorder which was an unwanted gift apparently. The kid had it as 'buy it now' on eBay for £75 but he said I could have it for £60 if I came and collected tomorrow with cash! He's about 20 minutes away from where I live. Look...

A x0xb0x won't help you with sound design, it's a one trick (albeit a great trick) acid pony.

Electribes are great. The EMX will give you a pretty powerful synth in a very fun, hands-on box.

Do you use your iPad in your productions? I have many music apps but generally I just sit there making noises and never incorporate them into tunes.

Re: Changing the tempo of an audio file?

'Time Stretch Regions to Locators' in the audio tab at the top of the arrange window will stretch any selected piece of audio to the loop markers. I use this all the time for percussion loops and it sounds fine most of the time. Can sound weird with pads and vocals. edit: You can stretch by 400% of ...

Re: best iOS/android music productions apps

I'm really impressed with Impaktor. Think I prefer it on iPad because all the controls are on the same screen. It can be triggered by anything the iPhone/iPad mic picks up if you change the sensitivity settings. So you could play an old break (or anything really) out of your monitors and get some ni...
