ah nice one guys :D

really enjoying making dubstep at the mo - its brought back some of the experimentation & fun d&b used to have when i first started (i still love d&b but tbh it can be a little bit restrictive these days in terms of structure etc)

maybe not what ur after, but it may help... try using the matrix & assigning an lfo to control the frequency of the cutoff filter - u can set the lfo to sync 1/4 or whatever u may need & adjust the phase etc so the lfo starts how u want. then adjust the intensity of the link in the matrix se...

try the progressive route... just build all ur sounds up & up & then for the 'drop' cut out all apart from the bass & drums.

erm... other than that, just experiment! :)

It completely depends on your budget. Both of us have Mackie Tapco S8 monitors & for the £250 - £280 they're retailing for, I'd say you'd be hard pushed to get better. They're obviously not quite up to the Mackie 824's high standards, but they definitely offer sound quality approaching that of t...

Yeah, when vinyl is cut, the mastering process usual involves making anything below 300Hz into a mono signal.

Also, most club sound systems are run in mono (as u can get more power by bridging the amp).
