Re: Effect or very clever automation?

Hi all. I've been amazed by a tune of Mike Sheridan. It's so advanced music and you can never really put a finger on what he is doing and how did it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TVaLD-gThU Listen to the beginning, is that some kind of effect or very clever automation? In same thread I would lik...

i'm pretty sure 'clave' is a type of rhythm - not a percussion instrument. so a clave cymbal would be the cymbal doing the clave rhythm, very latin sounding

i could be wrong

i know of a reaktor module that does this, but beyond that, i would probably say to ask him personally what he's doing there. i know it's not an uncommon thing he is doing.. i've heard that exact type of modulation everywhere... listen to Sully, he does some of that. sounds similar to how a 'bacter...

i resample almost everything, gets real signiture sounds... saves processing power too [if you bounce with vsts for example] the sue sampler's own filter = more control

also sounds more cohesive imho

my iTunes has no EQ on it, i like everything au-natural.

it actually sounds far better in iTunes, if anything over compressed and badly EQ'd in logic

someone suggested logic may encode mp3s strangely... however it shouldn't sound *that* bad!

After pulling it into my DAW I realised it sounds slightly different [there's no plug-ins on either the channel trip or master, even bypassed ones] basically it seems to have lost some real bott...
