Re: Performing Live With Minimal Equipment
Rehearsals and familiarity with what you're doing is best ;-) we've cut our digital/turntablism set-up right down to 2 users on one CPU. It was alot bigger at the start, becoming a more minimal set-up came with time, gigging and rehearsals...knowing the tools and what (other) tasks they can perform ...

Re: Pure Phase - Burn a river
Dope but I would make the intro build more. Like the sample leading into the bass drop is ill, but it doesn't build as much I believe it should with a heavy ass drop like that. It's ill though and I like the bass line, not your typically LFO wobbles which is always a good look from up and coming pr...

Re: FINISHED TRACKS FOR FEEDBACK-- NOVEMBER 2010
@ObsidiaMusic - not my sort of thing, but seems all there, had to trun it down in the headphones, mid range was hurtin so probs some eq needed (or maybe my ears are weak). @djekim - nice to hear something different, really enjoyed it. all i can say. @kaiori breathe - nice tune, only thing to say on ...

Re: FINISHED TRACKS FOR FEEDBACK-- NOVEMBER 2010
i tend to listen to these and only seem to highlight anything i don't like, oh well here goes @sirius - Tune is nice, vocal seems a bit high in the mix and i think the kick is a bit too clicky. some variation on the drums and arrangement and i'd warm to this. @treasondub - mix down needs some work, ...

Re: live manipulation + turntablism
Not 'The Finger', It's similar, key controlled effects using the beatlookup sampler in reaktor...it's a modified version of clists clone of Tim Exile's early live breakcore set-up, so there will be elements of what the finger has become within the structure (although Tim Exile has given me a copy of...

Re: live manipulation + turntablism
But wheres the vibes, ya know? i get what you're saying, bare in mind that this is just a quick 'do as much as we like in a short space of time for the sake of a video clip', to show off something we've been working on. i think you'll find that video's for most dj/performance technology seem to be ...

qwerty keys play as midi notes in reaktor (as does ableton), certain effects are assigned to different letters on the qwerty3za wrote:Nice man!
How are you using your keyboard to trigger different efx's in reaktor?

Re: live manipulation + turntablism
This is incredible :o Really inspiring stuff - love a bit of controllerism. The bit that kicks in around 30 secs is immense, what tune is that you've mangled into submission? cheers... tracklist trolley snatcha - the future pure phase - paint the blue black pure phase - give a little pure phase - t...
