Re: Skrillex "In For The Kill" Music Video (Unofficial)
What's wrong with being gay? Homophobe much? Or did you mean gay in a derogatory sense? In which case, yeah, that's a generational thing cause people have slowly stoped being bigots lately :t: gay can mean many things...in this context i meant straight up batie boys, i thought they were going to st...

Re: Northern Virginia/ DC / Maryland dubstep?
i am an old school head so i don't get out much. i live in maryland, about to move to northern va (vienna). There seems to be more dj's coming around the scene than i've seen in many years. Most of it is gaystep but once in a while a good dj will touch base.

respect to the mc'ing on rinse fm
i started a thread here recently talking down the mc'ing on rinse. After listening to rinse religiously for the last month, i have to say that the mc's add flavor and character to the sets. Big up the all the mc's on rinse. I get it now and apologize for my previous dissing. Special big ups to toast...

Re: Skream - Growler
i heard n-type play this tune on one of his recent sets on rinse. The track was a bit different on the set (better than the one posted here in my opinion) and he claimed it was a benga track called intergalactic growler.

Re: Dubstep w/ MC
This mc is pretty shit, he needs some work and he should never spit over anyone else's beat cause he will ruin it...unless it's datsik ;) I do see the point of an MC at shows to get the crowd hype, but never on the radio or any other set for that matter. The MC should be crowd focused, and he/she sh...

Re: Question For The Dubstep Purists
i agree, i think that whole Magnetic Man is their commercial alter egos. I can understand their viewpoint. They want to grow, they want more money, they want more exposure. My concern is that Skream and Benga go down the same route as Pendulum and that dubstep in general goes down the same route as ...

Re: What got you into dubstep?
got into DNB in '98, nicky blackmarket, stevie hyper d set was my introduction. I become obsessed with DNB and started rocking mics from the US to Canada. 2007, I heard dubstep for the first time. I heard other dnb heads convert to dubstep and I initially felt threatened by dubstep. I didn't underst...

Re: please no MC on Rinse FM
dubstep.fm for one... i basically have a no-mc policy.... really? your show, or the whole station? i gotta tell you dude, that sounds booooring lol.. i mean, of course somebody on the mic CAN be obnoxious for a million different reasons... but usually its mad fun imo.. seems like a distinct differe...

Re: please no MC on Rinse FM
i do understand the basis for the mc'ing on the sets, but i would say that for the most part, people are listening cause they want to hear the music. In my opinion, having someone scream on a mic every 15 seconds is unnecessary and annoying. According to this thread, I am the only person whom thinks...

Re: please no MC on Rinse FM
I am surprised at the amount of people on this forum supporting the MC'ing. People in England seem to have a high level of tolerance for MC's. Like I said, I do respect the MC's. I don't mind an MC chanting some bs here and there, spitting a verse or two throughout the set. The problem is screaming ...

please no MC on Rinse FM
so many good sets on Rinse FM (Youngsta, N-type, Plastician) and the MC's Ruin every single one of them. I was a drum n bass mc for many many years in Toronto and D.C so I have love for the MC's, but they don't do justice on the dubstep sets, especially on the radio. What's the deal with this?
