Re: Advance bass techneques - please share :)
Get a basic bass sound and line going. Write 4-8 bars, then render to audio. Change the parameters of the synth, (different waveform/fx/filter/modulation) and/or change the phrase. Change it enough to make it interesting, but keep it relevant to the original. Render the variation to audio Change aga...

Re: At my wit's end - recording stereo out of computer
Two solutions: 1. Go to the sound devices dialog, go to playback devices. Right click in the recording device window and enable 'show disabled devices' and 'show disconnected devices' You should see a device called 'Sound Mix' or similar. Enable this and set it as the default recording device. 2. If...

Re: Reverb in the low end
This goes for delay on bass lines as well. Bass send -> HP -> Dubstation or the like, with short delay time, little bit of feedback.
Gives the bass lots of depth and pushes it back a little without using 'verb

Re: Wierd low background noise HELP!!
When you say 'background noise' do you mean it is constant, or follows the original sub?
I can def hear the lower quality of Youtube, the sound you're hearing could be a slight bitcrushing of the sub, due to the lower sample rate?

Re: Gemmy style lfo fill
Make sure your filter is closing all the way, that will get 'abruptness'. Set your filter to 0Hz, and have all the work done by the LFO. Use sharper filter curves for more pronounced resonance (24db/4pole instead of 6db/1 pole)

Re: changing wobble speed based on pitch?
I'm sure Thor has keytracking. What you are doing is assigning the note pitch to the LFO rate. Keytracking is mainly used on filter cutoff to brighten the sound as pitch increases. You can assign the keytracking (or note in, or whatever it is called in Thor) to the LFO rate in the mod matrix. I'm no...
