I once had an alesis 520 monitor spontaneously combust while I was on a night out- it wasnt even switched on, housemate was luckily on his way downstairs and spotted it before it took the rest of my room with it. Never seen a cone just set on fire though, electrical fault I guess.

always listen to stuff on my monitors, can cane your ears more so than a hifi after a bit though if the volume is cranked

i got skullcandys just for listening to my ipod and they're rubbish even for that. They also sit stupidly on your head making u look like a fool

is it on the render settings, maybe your bitrate is set low or something

The keyboard is the m-audio oxygen. Don't know the other one just looks like a small mixer. Take a look at the m-audio axiom 25 on google.
