Re: Who do you guys live with?

It's good to switch things up every now and then. Few years living with other people, few years alone. With 6 month tenancy agreements being more common these days it's pretty easy to stay on your own for a while till a mate or two you think you can bear to live with decide they want to get a place ...

Re: [POLL] Is £30 for DMZ 10th birthday tickets taking the p

I would've thought that most of the DJs they could be imagined to book for the night would make it a point to turn up for the night or pass through anyway. Plus mates rates if not free. So £30 seems a bit steep. I'm sure they'll have loads on the people on the line-up and more will jump on just coz,...

Re: SYSTEM SOUNDS, SYSTEM PEOPLE

System at the last Tokyo Dub was a complete disaster, distorting like fuck. At least the previous year's fiasco was due to noise level complaints.

That seems a bit unnecessary and rather tasteless.

Re: Physics anyone?

Mostly agree with that article. Don't get me wrong - speculative theories are great. If no one ever speculated about how things work we'd still be cavemen. However, to be scientific, a theory has to correctly match observations and be provable/disprovable. Otherwise it's just a thought experiment. U...

Re-reading David Brin's Uplift Saga. Just as good as it ever was. Even noticed a few bits in the first book that I missed the first 4 times I've read it.

Re: What game are you playing?

Went a bit silly and bought like 20 games (mostly small ones) in the Steam sale. Playing through Transistor at the moment. Interesting combat/skill mechanics/customisation. Story's OK but I think they're trying (and failing slightly) to be too smart. The way the story's revealed as you go along is p...

Re: SYSTEM SOUNDS, SYSTEM PEOPLE

Coki does great sets when he feels like it. Problem is he hardly ever feels like it.

Kromestar can be a bit hit and miss with his sets, depending on how aggy a set he feels like playing.

Re: SYSTEM SOUNDS, SYSTEM PEOPLE

Actually, they were originally a bit harder on smoking inside. For the first couple, the bouncers used to walk around and snub out anything they saw. Then they relaxed a lot more. Apart from the night of the crackdown across London when they were understandably militant about it. Oh and also kinda o...

Re: fabric to close

Could never work out why people like going to Fabric so much. I have never had an enjoyable time there. Never found the soundsystems (especially in room 2) much to gush on about. Far as I can tell, the only way to have a good time at Fabric is to go in tanked up and then load up on more drugs since ...

Re: Wild Thornberry's Class War

If only there was a similar level of response, and as rapid, when the expenses claim scandal occured, people might actually have more trust in politicians than they do now. Totally blown out of proportion.
