Not from Essex but live in Ipswich, 20 drive mins from Colchester, like 35-40 from Chelmsford. I'm running the last standing dub event in Ipswich, we get a good crowd but as its a freebie we struggle to get people from out of town as we can never afford serious headliners. Admittedly clubs are notoriously bad at looking after decks, we went to play in Reading and when they got the decks out of the cupboard a tone arm was completely snapped in half, luckly I'd brought a few CDs so could still do the set (they had 9 CDJ 1000s in that venue and only one working turntable...
